Overview
The Radiate Top Shell Snail Trochus radiatus that is prized for its algae eating tendencies. It has a thick shell that is conical in shape and tan in color. It is also referred to as the Red Stripe Trochus Snail because of the added interest on its shell provided by the red color along its whorls.
A peaceful snail, it is good for beginner reef hobbyists as it has an easy care level. It is able to turn itself back upright if it is overturned.
Trochus radiatus is a nocturnal feeders, grazing on detritus and algae found in the aquarium. This member of the Trochidae family is an herbivore and will benefit from supplemental feedings of an herbivorous nature.
