Overview
Gobies, such as those in the Amblyeleotris or Stonogobiops genera, are fascinating additions to the reef aquarium. Known for their alert behavior and keen eyesight, these fish are naturally cautious and observant, often acting as lookouts in their environment.
Gobies thrive in aquariums with sandy substrates, plenty of rock caves, and subdued lighting. These environments mimic their natural habitats, allowing them to display natural behaviors such as burrow-sharing and territorial guarding.
Gobies will readily accept a diet of meaty freeze-dried and frozen foods, along with bottom feeder tablets, making them relatively easy to feed.
