Overview

The Green Aeneus Cory Catfish is green with silver complementary colors and distinctive barbels at the front of their short and rounded heads, with which they filter sand and gravel. A hardworking little fish, they are bottom dwellers that help keep your tank clean with their scavenging nature.

The Green Aeneus Cory Catfish is a great option for a community tank due to its peaceful nature. A smaller fish that grows to only two and one-half inches at maturity, they are at home in tank sizes of at least 30 gallons. Because they are hardy, Green Aeneus Cory Catfish are a great option for both beginners and advanced enthusiasts.

The Green Aeneus Cory Catfish requires a well planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places that provide relief from the light. A smooth sand or gravel substrate is needed because of the easily damaged barbels. They enjoy being in numbers, so a small school of six or more is ideal for these catfish.

An omnivore, the Green Aeneus Cory Catfish will require a well-balanced diet including dried, flake, frozen, and live foods. Feed a quality flake and pellet food as well as frozen brine and live worms.

Approximate Purchase Size: 1/2" to 2-1/2"
