I highly recommend this fish. It is very hardy, accepts many foods, and is very peaceful.

A spectacular fish. One of the few that can be kept in groups. I have four in 180 gallon tank and they school constantly. Beauty and grace are on display! Their "blue masks" are unique.

I have a pair of these gorgeous fish, Sunshine and Buttercup. Very active and colorful. They do require pristine water conditions though. For a few weeks, I'd gotton lazy on performing my regular water changes. And when the water is old and nitrates climb a bit, they seem to sulk around, don't eat as boldly, and they both get white spots on their fins which appear to be ich, but it is not. A large water change clears it right up within a couple of hours, and they're back to their lively selves. I saw the connection between the water conditions and their behavior. So I've learned my lesson, and have returned back to my regular water change routine. They deserve the best care; these are certainly not for the lazy fish keeper! They adore grazing on nori sheets throughout the day, and really love meaty fare such as clam, mysis shrimp and squid. Very friendly towards tankmates.
