Overview
The Clarkii Clownfish from the Coral Sea, is also known as the Clark's Anemonefish or Clark's Clownfish. It has a reddish-brown base color with white stripes and an orange forehead when full grown. The juvenile fish are yellow in color with three white stripes on each side of the body. The anal fin is white with a yellow stripe on the top and bottom.
Clarkii Clownfish is one of the most hardy, and therefore, one of the most common clownfish in home aquariums. A 30 gallon or larger aquarium containing an anemone of any type is desirable. It is semi-aggressive towards other clownfish and passive tank mates.
The Clarkii Clownfish diet consists of almost any meaty food items and herbivore preparations.

I have two large Clarkii clowns (about 3-1/2" each) and they are very friendly. When anyone walks buy the reef tank, they dart over and look like they are asking for food. I have two anemones in my tank - a Condy and a Long Tentacle - and the Clarkiis seem to fight over them. A great fish for the novice. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys Clownfish.

I got a pair of Clarkii clowns after the Ocellaris clowns I purchased were not liking my anemones. I have since found the Ocellaris clowns a new home. Since day one my Clarkiis have been playing in and feeding my anemones. They are very hardy and have great personalities!

These clownfish are just great. They treat anything they can swim in or through as their host. My pair are currently using some mushrooms as home. I have had the pair for three years, they have been very resistant to disease. When other tank mates had Ich, they were the only fish to resist it. They will eat anything I offer, and right from my hand. They sleep together at the front of the tank and interestingly, when other fish have been ill, they stay right with them until they are better. This inexpensive fish is very hardy, has lots of personality, gets along with other fish, and is reef safe. I highly recommend this fish.

This is just the perfect reef fish! It goes in any anemone you put in your tank. Mine hosted a heteractis magnifica anemone, a long tentacle anemone and a bubble tip anemone. These fish do not get ill easily. I had a problem with my tank and a lot of my fishes died but the clarkii did resist. I recommend this fish to everyone.

I have a highly aggressive Clark's Clownfish in my 90 gallon. It constantly harasses my bird wrasse and forced my baby puffer and triggerfish into hiding. I'd suggest putting this fish in last if you have more docile fish.
