Purple Frilly Gorgonian with tan polyps. For optimum health, this animal must be fed phytoplankton several times per day along with other foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates. They require a nutrient rich aquarium with low lighting, perfect water chemistry, and medium to strong water flow. These animals are very sensitive to even small traces of Nitrate and Phosphate in the water, and are sensitive to rapid fluctuations in Alkalinity.
