Overview

The Koi Cobra Guppy is another selective ornamental offering in our Fancy Guppy category. Sometimes referred to as “Millions Fish”, they are easily identified by distinctive snakeskin-like markings on their bodies and showy orange dorsal and tail fins. Through careful and selective breeding, these vibrant freshwater fish will add interest and energy to your aquarium.

The Koi Cobra Guppy is active, has a peaceful nature, and gets along well with tankmates with a similar temperament. Incorporating Koi Cobra Guppies will add instant interest to your water environment. A smaller fish (1 ¾” at maturity), they are at home in tank sizes of 10 or more gallons. Because they are hardy and resilient, they are a great option for both beginners and advanced enthusiasts who maintain optimal water conditions.

Koi Cobra Guppies are live bearing fish and are fairly easy to breed when provided with a covering of floating plants and a breeding box to protect the fry from adults. The fry should be fed brine shrimp, micro food, and pulverized flakes. For adults, algae-based flake food, along with brine shrimp and freeze-dried bloodworms, will provide the necessary nutrition.
