Overview

* Replacement color-changing mixed bed resin deionization (DI) filter cartridge for all AquaticLife RO units
* Removes Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from tap water to produce ultra-pure product water for aquarium use
* Clever inline DI filter cartridge design allows easy plumbing in any AquaticLife RO units with standard 1/4" tubing

Replacement mixed bed resin deionization cartridge helps ensure reliable production of ultra-pure water free of total dissolved solids (TDS). The RO Buddie Color Changing Mixed Bed Resin Deionization Filter Cartridge is compatible with all AquaticLife RO units and only requires standard 1/4" tubing to connect. This deionization water filter can be used with most other reverse osmosis water filter systems and RO/DI units. High-quality color-changing deionization resin contains positive Cations and negative Anions, each in a different color and physically changes colors to tan (amber) when the media is exhausted. Clever inline cartridge design allows convenient and easy plumbing - Simply connect standard 1/4" tubing to the 1/4" press fittings on each end of the cartridge. Produce clean, pollutant-free water for aquarium use and spend less time with cumbersome RO/DI unit upkeep.

STAGE 4 - RO Buddie Color Changing Mixed Bed Resin Di Filter Cartridge:
Replace filter when resin changes color completely to amber to reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) to zero in the final stage of an RO/DI system. When all resin has changed color, it is time to replace the DI filter. Each DI Cartridge includes two clips that allow the cartridge to attach to the front of the membrane housing. After the water is filtered by the RO Membrane there is usually a small amount of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) left in the water. In certain non-drinking water applications, it is important to remove the remaining TDS from the water. This is accomplished by filtering the water through a deionization (DI) resin filter that is charged with Cation and Anion resins (H+ and OH-). As the resin absorbs the TDS, it will change color. When all resin has changed color, it is time to replace the DI filter. Because the process of filtering the high quality water takes time, it is common to use a storage tank to collect filtered water, making it available on demand.
