Overview

*Bulk premium activated carbon for removing dissolved aquarium pollutants
*Removes odors, unsightly discoloration & harmful organic substances
*Fill media bag or filter media basket to improve aquarium water quality

Improve aquarium water quality and clarity with Marineland® Black Diamond® Premium Activated Carbon. Easy-to-use bulk chemical filter media effectively eliminates foul odors, unsightly discoloration, and harmful organic substances to maintain superior water quality for healthy aquarium inhabitants. Heat-activated bituminous coal-based granules are specially sized for optimal performance. Contains less than 2% moisture. Use with a media bag in any aquarium filter. For freshwater and marine aquariums.

Always rinse filter media before use to remove excess dust. Black Diamond crackles and gets warm as it is being rinsed. This is normal, letting you know it is ready to go to work.

Did you know?
Heat-activated bituminous coal-based Black Diamond granules are specially sized and far more efficient than inferior coconut, wood or peat-based carbons. Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon works as much as twice as fast as the competition.

Directions:
Place in media bag or media basket and rinse thoroughly in cold water to eliminate dust.
Replace immediately when effectiveness diminishes, usually indicated by smells or discoloration of aquarium water. Otherwise, replace every 4-6 weeks.

Note: Carbon loses effectiveness over time. Replacement frequency depends on fish population, waste loads, and water conditions.
